My wife and I are known to explore the beverage offerings of new stadiums, as well. Madness? No way.

With the weather warming up and Kansas City’s spring teams in bloom, it’s time to start making plans for the sunny days ahead.

And because March Madness has literally everyone’s attention right now, KC Crown Town is breaking down the Elite Eight field of stadium food we will definitely be busting into this summer.

Heck, it would be Madness for us not to do it. You feel us?

Argue if you will about the seeds (we hope you will!), but what follows is a full run down of the top-eight foods available around Kansas City for the Spring and Summer of 2025.

CPKC Stadium is a treasure trove of deliciousness.
  1. Joe’s KC BBQ Big Z-Man Sandwich (CPKC Stadium): This top seed feels like the easiest call on the board. One of the most legendary BBQ sammies at the region’s most electric new stadium watching what will likely be another historic season is a recipe for a Juggernaut.
  2. Italian Nachos, Italian Sausage Company (Arrowhead): For me, there’s really only one way to knock nachos out of the top spot, and it’s legendary BBQ. In any other field, at any other time, the Italian Sausage Company would have a No. 1 seed on their hands. Look for a potential showdown of titans in the finals of this bracket.
  3. Sluggerrrr Dog (Kauffman): Gotta be honest here, I’m not a huge hot dog guy, but I know if I don’t include a baseball hot-dog option, I’m likely getting sent away forever. And, honestly, the Slugerrr Dog looks incredible. If ever I was going to see the light, this fried piece of deliciousness might be the light at the end of my tunnel.
  4. Chicken Spiedini, Italian Sausage Company (Kauffman): Here’s the thing, I might not be a hot dog guy, but I sure am a Chicken Spiedini dude. At No. 4, I’m staying right at Kauffman and hitting a solid double into the gap with Italian Sausage Company’s toasted saucy beauty.
As you can imagine, our crew can put a hurting on concession stands.

5. Carne Asada Street Taco’s, 122 El Capitan (Children’s Mercy)

6. State Line Deluxe Cheesburger, 129 State Line Burger (Children’s Mercy)

7. Chicken Tinga Burrito, Yoli’s Tortilleria (CPKC)

8. Taco Mac & Cheese, general concessions (Arrowhead)

So, don’t be shy. Print out your own bracket, fill it out, and tell us who you have as the champion of KC-area stadium food.
